John Dickerson

John Dickerson has been working professionally in the IT Industry for more than 30 years; he has experience working at various state government agencies and in the private sector.
John started his career as a mainframe programmer, and then converted to PC programming.
He has experience in development, infrastructure architecture, cybersecurity, virtualization, cloud architecture, major vendor platforms, networking, and IT management. He spent the last five years as an Infrastructure Architect working on the front lines of cybersecurity in the utility sector. John began teaching part-time more than 20 years ago as a way to give back to the community.
He has taught courses in application development, web development, operating systems, systems administration, networking, virtualization, IOT, cloud computing, and cyber security. Because the IT world is constantly changing, John has a thirst for keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in technology.
