Financial Aid Timelines

Financial Aid Year - Financial aid is offered based on aid year.  At JCCC, the aid year starts with the fall semester, followed by spring and ends with the summer session. Students must apply every year by submitting a complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The new FAFSA opens every October 1st.

The following are the dates that provide the Financial Aid Office time to process your application and make funds available in time to protect your enrollment in classes, prior to the payment deadline. Reminder - an “accepted” financial aid package will protect your enrollment on the payment deadline.

You can still apply after these dates and receive financial aid, but you may need to pay your tuition and fees yourself to hold your classes until your financial aid is packaged.

By registering for classes at Johnson County Community College (JCCC), you agree to assume financial responsibility for all charges billed to your student account, even if you no longer plan on attending class. Refer to the Student Financial Responsibility Statement for additional information.

Refer to the "Additional Dates & Deadlines" box on this page for dates not listed below (book advances, refunds, etc.)

Have you been checking your student email account and your outstanding requirements through MyJCCC?  It’s important to complete outstanding requirements as soon as possible and monitor your student email account through the financial aid process.
