About Our Program

Pastries are freshly made by students in JCCC's pastry/baking certificate program who are supervised by JCCC faculty. Proceeds from pastry sales support the students in the pastry/baking program at JCCC.

The shop is first and foremost an educational opportunity for our students.

We use the highest quality ingredients to produce delicious pastries and breads. Our intention is to cover our costs.

There will be a common set of products made every week, however, the selection, quantity and variety will change from week to week. This is determined by the needs of the students, the seasonality of our ingredients and the sales record of each item.

Not every item may be available every week, and, occasionally, items may not look like the photos, as different ingredients or processes may be used that week.

As the seasons turn and the fall/winter holidays arrive, we will offer various special treats in keeping with season and/or holiday. Please keep an eye on the JCCC Bake Shop Facebook page for the weekly menus.

Here's a sampling of what you may typically find:

  • Yeast breads
  • Quick breads
  • Pies and tarts
  • Whole cakes and cake slices
  • Petit pastry
  • Chocolates and confections
  • Cookies
  • Seasonal pastries
