As part of Step 3 of the JCCC Return to Campus Plan, which starts June 22, many JCCC student services will be available for face-to-face appointments, on a limited basis, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Our student services teams are eager to help you! To ensure a positive experience, keep the following in mind:

  • Please call or email ahead to make an appointment to minimize wait time.
  • While on campus, everyone is required to maintain at least 6 feet of social distancing, and everyone on campus is required to wear a face covering while in JCCC buildings. If you don’t have one, let the people you’re meeting with know so one can be provided to you.
  • Please come alone because we have limited building capacity and must adhere to social distancing guidelines.


Online learning is a convenient way to take JCCC classes.

With online classes, you'll enjoy increased flexibility while pursuing your education.

Keep in mind, online is not the same as self-paced. Assignment instructions and deadlines are clearly communicated by your instructor throughout the semester.

The Honors Program at JCCC supports academically motivated students across majors through academic counseling, co-curricular activities and a strong community of support.

We are happy to visit via zoom Monday - Friday, 8a.m.-5 p.m., or in person, in COM 201, every Wednesday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Appointments are required for online or in person meetings.

Face-to-face meetings are limited and are reserved for students who lack the technology to work in a digital environment. Appointments will be limited to one person only to allow for proper social distancing.

Ask a quick question in our Zoom meeting, available Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

New Student Orientation is available online anytime, or through live Zoom sessions offered several times a week.

Students who are unable to complete orientation from home can visit the Student Success Center, on the second floor of the Student Center, to complete orientation using a campus computer. Visit our New Student Orientation web pages for more information and to complete orientation.

For assistance with tuition payments or refunds, email the Bursar’s Office at or request an on-campus appointment by calling 913-469-2567, Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Appointments will be scheduled between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Testing Services labs have limited capacity due to the social distancing requirements. We will be administering the ACCUPLACER placement exams by appointment. To start the process, please visit our placement test page and carefully read and follow the instructions provided.

The following items are required in order to test:

  • Scheduled appointment
  • PPE face covering
  • current government-issued or student photo ID card
  • JCCC student ID number

The following items are allowed during a testing session:

  • writing utensils
  • car keys

No other personal items are allowed, and lockers are not available.

Due to limited space and social distancing requirements, only the student scheduled to test will be allowed in the processing line and in the Testing Center. All family members and friends are asked not to attend.

Academic Resource Center

JCCC introduces the new Academic Resource Center! 

Located on the first floor of Billington Library, the Academic Resource Center is your one-stop shop for free tutoring and assistance for your credit classes. 

It has a large study area, a librarian who will help you find where you need to go, and the new Stacks Cafe serving coffee and snacks.

Services are on a limited in-person basis, but you can still get help online or via Zoom appointments. Each resource center has different options. Please visit the center of your choice for times and appointments.

Student Resources

Limited in-person appointments will be available. To arrange an in-person or a virtual appointment, email or call 913-469-3521. You may email general questions related to Access Services or your disability accommodation needs, or you can email your Access Advisor directly.

New students should complete a “New Student Application for Access Services” and upload documentation online.

Returning students may log into their myAccess account anytime to request accommodations, adjust accommodations, view faculty notification letters, request interpreting and review the status of other accommodation requests.

The Billington Library is offering a variety of services during the campus closure.

The bookstore will open July 1 with limited services. Visit the bookstore website for hours and additional details.

The Career Development Center is open on campus for walk-in services; however, appointments are preferred.

There are limited opportunities for walk-in help. 

The Center for Student Involvement club workspaces, Student Lounge, and Meditation Room will remain closed.

While JCCC Student Clubs and organizations have canceled all in-person events on and off campus, many clubs are still meeting virtually and hosting online events.

The Student Basic Needs Center in COM 319 is open by appointment Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. The center houses the Cav Cupboard food pantry and offers personal care items and school supplies. Students in need of housing, transportation, professional clothing, and other services may also receive assistance.

Service appointments can be scheduled online. Walk-in visitors will be helped as space, time, and safety conditions permit.

The Student Engagement Desk is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Friday for JCCC student ID card processing, bus pass sales, U-Pass information, assistance with wayfinding, and general information.

JCCC Student Wellness provides you with virtual resources to maintain and improve their fitness and wellness. Through the JCCC Student Wellness Spring 2020 Canvas class, you can access complimentary, exclusive workouts, training, wellness programs, and activities. Workouts include Yoga, HIIT, Zumba, Pilates, Abs & Core, Resistance Training, Hip Hop Fitness, College Recess, Mindfulness Walks, Meditation and much more.

New workouts and activities will be released every day in May! Just access the class in Canvas and click "enroll" to get access and get started!
