Applicability: This Policy applies to Johnson County Community College (“JCCC” or the “College”) personnel.

Purpose: The purpose of this Policy is to confirm JCCC’s commitment to maintaining a community that recognized and values the inherent worth of every person inclusive of individual differences.


The College is a place where freedom of expression and civility are encouraged. JCCC believes that diversity strengthens the institution, stimulates creativity, promotes the exchange of ideas, and enriches campus life. Suspected violations of this Policy may be reported as set forth in the applicable Employee Discrimination, Harassment or Retaliation Complaint Operating Procedure 420.01 or Student Discrimination, Harassment or Retaliation Complaint Operating Procedure 319.05.
