Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
Johnson County Community College (JCCC) will not discriminate against individuals on the basis of disability.
JCCC will make employment decisions based on the ability of a person to perform the essential functions of a job and not the person’s disability or limitations. Further, the ADA requires the college to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities, if possible.
In this regard the JCCC will:
- evaluate whether a person with a disability is qualified to perform the essential functions of his or her position with or without accommodation; and
- determine whether a reasonable accommodation can be made for a qualified individual.
If you believe you need some type of accommodation, please notify one of the following listed individuals as soon as possible. JCCC will then work with you to determine if a reasonable accommodation is necessary or possible.
