Turn everyday objects into awesome movie magic by creating your own sound effects to match short animated video clips.

There will be three laptop stations set up with a 1-2 minute long video animation. The video animation will not have sound playing. Visitors will need to be able to play, pause, and stop the video. Next to the laptop there will be everyday items that will be used to mimic the type of sound effects that a foley artist would normally use to create the sounds. Examples would include things like paper, shoes, gravel, etc. Students will be able to cycle through the stations to see how each video uses different types of objects. Nearby there can be examples on signage of other common items used to create popular sounds that might not be in the video examples to help explain the concept further.
