Updated Federal Requirements
JCCC will continue with JCAE programs to serve qualified individuals. In response to current Federal requirements, starting July 28, 2025, students will be required to present the most recent documentation of their current US citizenship or immigration status as part of the course registration process. Students interested in attending JCAE classes should bring their Real ID, birth certificate, U.S. passport, or immigration documents when they register. Visit the US Citizenship and Immigration Services website for a list of commonly used immigration documents.

- Residential Plumbing
- Print Reading and Estimating
- Backflow Preventers
- DWV and Water Distribution
- Installation, Maintenance and Repair
- Commercial Plumbing
- Plumbing Code
When all courses are completed, you will have earned a college credential with a certificate in Plumbing Technology.

The Plumbing Technology pathway can help build your credentials, education, and earning potential.
You will learn foundational technical skills needed for a career in the plumbing trade. Learn how to install pipes, maintain drainage systems, and understand the legal standards and codes to repair plumbing issues.
Upon completion of the Plumbing Technology certificate, you may enter the workforce in an entry-level role as a plumber and/or continue your studies.
Commerce Department Outlook for Plumbing Technology
The Kansas Department of Commerce reports wages for Plumbing Technology are very competitive. The median wage for Plumbers is $62,820 per year in the state of Kansas.
