The Electrical Technology pathway can help build your credentials, education, and earning potential.

You will learn foundational technical skills needed for a career in the electrical trade. Learn instruction in the principles of electronics and electrical systems, wiring, power transmission, safety, industrial and household appliances, job estimation, electrical testing and inspection, and applicable codes and standards.

Upon completion of the Electrical Technology certificate, you may enter the workforce in an entry-level role as a residential or commercial electrician and/or continue your studies.

The Kansas Department of Commerce reports wages for Electrical Technology are very competitive. The median wage for Electricians is $61,830 per year in the state of Kansas.
