Veteran Services
The JCCC Veteran Services office staff is composed of VA student assistants and the Veterans Administration advisor. We are here to assist you in using your VA education benefits, to assist in referral to other JCCC or VA resources, and to facilitate the JCCC Veterans Club.
Enrollment and Certification
To use your Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits, you must enroll in classes at JCCC and then be certified by the JCCC Veteran Services office.
Follow the steps below that apply to you.

Other Military/Veteran Funding Sources
Prior Military Training
JCCC evaluates prior military credit through Prior Learning Assessment in the Testing Center. If you only want PE credit, all that is necessary is to submit a copy of the DD 214 to the PLA advisor. If you want a full evaluation of all prior military credit, official military transcript(s) will need to be sent to the JCCC admissions office. You will need to contact the PLA advisor to initiate the evaluation process. The transcript will be reviewed and forwarded on to the appropriate academic department for evaluation. Once you have completed the required six credit hours in residence at JCCC, credit granted for prior military will be posted to your student academic record.
