2022 Annual Security Report (PDF)

Johnson County Community College is committed to providing the members of the campus community and visitors with the safest and most secure environment possible. However, even the most extensive initiatives cannot succeed without the awareness and cooperation of the community members who work and study on the campus.

The annual security report corresponds to JCCC campuses and provides statistics of all reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings, property owned or controlled by Johnson County Community College, and public property within or immediately adjacent to all of its campuses. These reports are provided by the JCCC Police Department as required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), codified as 20 U.S.C.§1092(f) in 1989.

The purpose of the report is to provide information about security on campus to include:

  • Campus and community crime statistics
  • Policy information
  • Emergency preparedness programs and systems
  • Safety tips
  • Resource phone numbers
  • A brief overview of the many services the college provides

Keep this information where it can be easily located; it serves as a useful reference source of information.

To request a printed copy of any campus report, please call 913-469-2500 (913-339-6699 TDD/TTY), or stop by the JCCC Police Department. As per federal requirements, campus security reports are published on or before Oct. 1 for the preceding calendar year.
