Financial Aid
What is Financial Aid?
Financial aid is monetary assistance for the cost of attending college that comes from a source other than the student and their family. Scholarships, grants, loans, and the Federal Work-Study Program are all considered to be types of financial aid.

Accepting Your Awards
You will receive an email delivered to your stumail account when your award offer is available for you to accept or decline online. Once you have accepted your award(s) online, your enrollment will be protected if your tuition is not paid by the payment deadline.
Paying Your Tuition and Receiving Any Remaining Funds
Find out more about financial aid disbursement, including how financial aid will pay your tuition balance and when you can expect to receive the balance of any funds in excess of any other outstanding charges due to JCCC.
Withdrawal and Non-Attendance May Affect The Aid You Must Pay Back
There are many requirements for earning your financial aid. Attendance and grades as well as the total number of hours you completed compared to the hours you were paid at the beginning of the semester, may require you to repay your financial aid. Before withdrawing from a class, check with the financial aid office.
Transferring
If you are a financial aid recipient transferring to or from JCCC, check out our instructions for transfer students.
