Come celebrate with that special graduate! Here's what you need to know about attending the ceremony.

When and Where

The Commencement Ceremony will be held in person on Thursday, May 21, 2026, in the JCCC Gymnasium (campus map).

The College is located at 12345 College Blvd., Overland Park, KS.

There will be two ceremonies:

  • 3 p.m. - Associate of Applied Science degree or certificate candidates
  • 6:30 p.m. - Associate of Arts, Associate of Fine Arts, Associate of Science and Associate of General Studies candidates

The processional to the Gymnasium begins 5 minutes before the ceremony start time. Plan for the ceremony to last approximately an hour and a half.

You need tickets this year

Each graduate is eligble for four tickets, providing they've followed the procedure. Consult the Commencement Information for Graduates page to learn more.

Overflow seating in the Fieldhouse is available for all. No ticket is requried. The ceremony will be livestreamed.

Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend entering campus from the College Boulevard/Westgate entrance and parking on the west side of campus. Follow the directional signs to find available parking near the Gymnasium. JCCC Police Officers will be on site directing traffic.
