- JCCC Tuberculosis (TB) Requirements
If you are required to undergo testing for Tuberculosis (TB) or retest for TB, there will be a hold on your MyJCCC student account. To satisfy the hold, you must:
- undergo a TB blood test, and
- submit the test result and any other documentation (if required), to the International and Immigrant Student Services office (IISS) by the deadline communicated to you by the IISS office.
Do not go for a TB test before consulting IISS staff, if you:
- tested positive for TB skin test in the past
- completed a full course of treatment for latent TB infection, or you
- underwent a TB test within the past 2 years
If one of these cases applies to you, contact the IISS office to be provided with specific information on how to proceed to meet the TB testing requirement.
You are required to undergo a TB blood test instead of the TB skin test if you meet any of the following criteria:
- are from a country on the TB country list, and/or
- have ever had the BCG vaccine, and/or
- you tested positive in the past on a TB skin test, yet you have never undergone a TB blood test
TB testing locations options:
- Regardless of where you reside, you may go for your TB blood test at the:
Johnson County Department of Health and Environment
11875 S. Sunset Drive, Suite 300
Olathe, KS 66061
Cost: $90
Visit the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment TB clinic webpage for their walk-in clinic hours.
- If you reside in a county other than Johnson County, you may go to your local County Health Department TB Clinic:
- Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health Clinic
- Wyandotte – Unified Government of Wyandotte County and KCK – Call to 913-573-8855 to schedule appointment.
- Kansas City, MO Health Department
- Jackson County MO Health Department
- You may also choose to have your TB blood test done at your doctor’s office
All TB results should be emailed to [email protected] or brought in to the IISS office in COM 306.
Failure to submit the required TB test result or follow up forms by the deadline communicated to you by our IISS office or through emails sent to your JCCC email account, will result in holds being placed on your account preventing you from adding or dropping classes and from receiving your academic transcripts.
