Here are answers to common questions about the Practical Nurse program.

The information sessions will give you detailed information on the programs that are offered here at JCCC. You have the opportunity to ask questions about enrollment, tuition, scholarships, course load, etc.

The TB skin test is also called the Mantoux tuberculin skin test (TST). A TB skin test requires two visits with a health care provider.

On the first visit the test is placed; on the second visit the healthcare provider reads the test.

You will notified in late April as to whether or not you have been selected for the program(s).

An emailed letter will advise you if you have not been selected and will include your waitlist ranking.

The top 32 full-time and 24 part-time students will be invited into the JCCC Practical Nursing program.

The JCCC Bookstore, located on the main campus, provides JCCC official scrubs that students can purchase. Visit the Bookstore website.

Clinicals are medical training sessions that will occur outside of lecture, typically in a long-term care or assisted living facility. The instructor of your course will provide more details about location and schedule for clinicals upon your enrollment into the course.
