Students may be required to submit transcripts when applying for JCCC credit courses and/or financial aid.

High School / Home School / GED Transcripts

High school transcripts are not required for admission purposes. An official high school transcript may be required by another department or to establish a scholarship GPA. If one is required by another department, you will be notified. Recent graduates may find that providing a transcript is the easiest way to submit ACT scores. See the instructions for submitting an official transcript below.

College Transcripts

Students who wish to apply prior college coursework toward a degree at JCCC should submit an official transcript to the Office of Admissions. In addition, certain students (selective admission applicants, VA education benefit recipients, athletes, international students and select Financial Aid recipients) may be required to provide all official transcripts to the Admissions Office. Those departments will notify you if transcripts are required. All official transcripts on file will be used in the determination of Financial Aid eligibility.

In lieu of sending official transcripts, students not seeking a degree from JCCC can follow these steps to prove completion of prerequisites.

Refer to our transcript evaluation webpage to understand how the transcripts are evaluated and used to determine your GPA.

Submitting Official Transcripts

Have your prior institution mail transcripts to:

JCCC Admissions, Box 41
12345 College Blvd.
Overland Park, KS 66210

Institutions can also send electronic transcripts directly to Admissions at jcccadmissions@jccc.edu. Transcripts emailed to other accounts and forwarded to us are not accepted. Faxed transcripts are not accepted.

JCCC will also accept hand-carried transcripts that are in an unopened envelope sealed by the issuing institution. The envelope must contain the official school seal or stamp, or a signature of a school official. Opened or unsealed transcripts will not be accepted. Transcripts that do not meet these criteria can still be used for advising and enrollment, but will not be accepted as official. JCCC reserves the right to deny any hand-carried transcript.

International students

Students wishing to submit transcripts from other counties should visit JCCC's International and Immigrant Student Services webpage for instructions.
