Non-U.S. (foreign) transcript evaluation:
JCCC only accepts evaluations done by NACES affiliated evaluators or InCred evaluation services. These evaluations are considered a recommendation only.
- A NACES member evaluation or an InCred evaluation is only a recommendation.
- A NACES member evaluation or an InCred evaluation will transfer in as elective credits.
- Evaluations that have not been done by NACES or InCred as well as evaluations done by other higher education intuitions will not be accepted.
- Consider the cost of the evaluation service prior to proceeding with this request as there is no guarantee NACES member evaluations or an InCred evaluation will result in credit transfer in to JCCC.
- JCCC only considers international credits earned at the bachelor level. Master and doctoral level credits will not be equated.
- Course substitutions may be recommended after an evaluation is completed. Course substitutions should begin with a conversation with an academic counselor. Have your syllabi from your home country to aid in your conversations about credit transfer.
- Evaluation of foreign credits may impact other areas of your JCCC record like financial aid eligibility and required courses.
Follow NACES member evaluations, or an InCred evaluation, instructions to submit an evaluation. Hand delivered requests will not be considered for credit transfer purposes.
- Request a course-by-course evaluation with a GPA calculation.
- If you want a copy to be sent to you, you will need to pay an additional fee.
- Request the evaluation be mailed directly to JCCC from the approved evaluation service.

Kansas/Program evaluation requirements:
The state of Kansas may require ECE evaluations for individuals seeking certification or licensure in some fields.
- Cosmetology and esthetician students will be required to have their documents evaluated by ECE. Refer to Transfer of Hours Form on Kansas Board of Cosmetology site.
- CNA students, for the purposes of licensure/certification, will be required by the State of Kansas to have their documents evaluated by the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS).
- Nursing students, for the purpose of licensure/certification, will be required by the State of Kansas to have their documents evaluated by the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS).
Evaluation of your non-U.S. (foreign) transcripts by JCCC*:
JCCC evaluates (foreign) transcripts for the following purposes:
- To verify equivalence to U.S. study for I-20 issuance.
- To verify equivalence to U.S. study for Financial Aid purposes. JCCC has partnered with InCred for these evaluations.
Credits transferred from JCCC to other U.S. colleges:
Make an appointment with an academic counselor to verify that your courses from JCCC will transfer to another U.S. college or university for degree requirements.
Credits transferred from a non-U.S. (foreign) college to other U.S. colleges:
Each college or university will independently determine which courses they will accept from another college or university in accordance with their policy and degree requirements.
*Foreign transcript evaluations done by JCCC are for internal use only and not for third-party use.
