The 2024 Foundation Impact Report features facts, figures, and—most importantly—stories of how donations and support for Foundation events continue to provide scholarships that lift financial barriers for students. Here are just a few highlights.
- Read a moving tribute about the friendship between former JCCC Trustee Jerry Cook and entrepreneur Hugh L. Libby and how it led to Libby’s $3 million in gifts to JCCC, which ultimately supported creation of the state-of-the-art Hugh L. Libby Career and Technical Center (CTEC).
- Get excited about the 2025 Some Enchanted Evening when you read about the record $1.16 million raised for scholarships at the 2024 gala. (Mark your calendar for November 8!)
- Share in recognizing Carl and Jill Gerlach, who were named 2024 Johnson Countians of the Year, joining a long list of community members who have had a big impact on the College.
- Learn about all the ways—beyond scholarships—the Foundation supports the JCCC community:
- Teaming up with the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art to create an exclusive “Explorer” membership level with top-tier perks.
- Partnering with the Midwest Trust Center to cultivate donor and sponsor relationships for continued support of arts education and world-class performances, including the Cohen Community Series.
- Gatherings such as the biannual scholarship luncheons celebrating scholarship recipients; Harvest Dinner, which yielded $25,000 for JCCC’s Sustainability program; and Summer Sips & Scholarships casual networking event, which raised $24,000.
Thank you for the role you have played in the success of JCCC students. Your continued commitment to our mission is greatly appreciated.
