Celebrate the creativity of Japanese language students!
JCCC invites you to a festival of imagination. Enjoy original short films, written, performed, recorded, and edited by talented students enrolled in Japanese language programs from across Missouri and Kansas.
Discover the resourcefulness and creative skills that can result from learning a new language. While judging criteria will include pronunciation and the correct use of syntax and vocabulary, the most important feature for each film will be ingenuity.
Immerse yourself in Japanese culture with traditional music and Japan-related trivia competitions. Then watch as awards are presented for Best Script, Best Acting, Best Soundtrack, Best Special Effects, Best Make-up, and Best Cinematography—for a total of 6 main awards.

The 1st Annual Japanese Shorts Festival was a rousing success! 14 teams, with students from JCCC, the Kansas City Art Institute, the University of Kansas, and Wichita State University, put their creativity to work.
