When you receive aid at JCCC, it's important to understand the following JCCC Terms and Conditions for your financial aid offer.
Prior to acceptance of offered financial aid at JCCC, you must review and agree to the following through your MyJCCC account:
- You authorize Johnson County Community College to pay any institutional charges you have incurred, in excess of tuition and course fees.
- You may not receive federal aid from more than one higher education institution at a time.
- Financial Aid and institutional scholarships will be disbursed (paid) approximately three to four weeks after the official start of the semester. Your financial aid funds will be paid based on the eligible hours you are actually enrolled which apply towards your degree.
- If you are a single semester loan borrower, your refund could be delayed. If you have late-start classes and you are a Pell grant or loan recipient, those funds will post approximately 10 days following the class start date.
- You must be in a financial aid eligible degree and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards each semester.
- You must be enrolled in at least 6 eligible credit hours to be entitled to loan funds. The Pell Grant is pro-rated based on eligible enrollment. The amount of the Pell Grant you can receive may be reduced or removed based on your actual enrollment status.
- You recognize that any scholarship or outside resource may impact eligibility for institutional and federal aid programs.
- If you drop classes, this may have an impact on current and future financial aid eligibility and you may have to pay back all or a portion of paid aid.
- You must complete all outstanding requirements before your financial aid will disburse. In the event conflicting information is received, or you are selected for Verification after you’ve received a disbursement, your eligibility for aid could be impacted.
- Any offered funds not accepted after 4 weeks will be canceled. If you do not enroll in classes at JCCC by certain timeframes in the semester, your financial aid may be removed.
