The Hospitality Management department includes five programs of study in the fields of culinary arts and hospitality management. While both fields are centered on the guest experience, culinary arts courses highlight cooking techniques, food service and professional kitchen management, including budgeting and forecasting. Hospitality management courses are focused on the tourism industry with a business-related emphasis.

Take your education to the next level in JCCC’s 36,000-square-foot Wylie Hospitality and Culinary Academy. This state-of-the-art building houses five culinary labs, an innovation kitchen, a demonstration kitchen in a culinary theater and JCCC’s very own pastry shop.

Our Hospitality Management Advisory Committee provides expert advice and inside knowledge to ensure you’re ready to enter the workforce. The board includes experienced individuals in the management field, ready to answer any questions you have about a career in the industry.

Take classes abroad

As a part of the tourism industry, hospitality management can take you across the country—or the world!

Get a global education during your time as a Cavalier. Study abroad options span over 50 countries, with opportunities to learn over a short break or a full semester.

Travel is also built into the JCCC Hospitality Management curriculum. The department regularly offers travel for credit courses, meaning you can travel and earn credits toward your degree at the same time. Our students have traveled to major tourism destinations, including Italy, Ireland, New York and Chicago.
