Welcome to JCCC!
We are glad you have chosen to grow your career at Johnson County Community College!
To make your onboarding experience smooth and successful, here are helpful tools and instructions.
- View your offer letter and accept your position. You should have received an email with the link.
- Keep your employee ID, username and email address in a safe easy-to-use location. You will use this information often.
- Your supervisor will contact you to schedule your first day of employment at JCCC.
- Make an appointment with JCCC Human Resources to fill out your I-9 form. This must be done at least three days prior to your start date. Here is a list of acceptable documents to bring for your I-9 appointment. hr@jccc.edu or 913-469-3877
- In your employee portal, complete the online new-hire forms including state and federal tax forms, direct payroll deposit and acknowledgements that you read JCCC policies before your first day at work.
- Activate your JCCC account. This allows you access to log in to your computer and the software options listed on jccc.edu Login menu option.
- Learn about MyJCCC and how to submit timesheets and leave requests to get paid.
- Review InfoHub, JCCC’s internal communication hub.
- Get your photo taken for a JCCC ID and receive office keys (keep your JCCC ID with you while on campus).
- Sign up for New Staff Orientation in MyJCCC/Add/Drop Classes; this must be completed within 90 days of your start date.
- Complete all mandatory training in MyJCCC/SafeColleges.
- Meet your HR Generalist who can help you with any HR-related activity.
- Sign up for benefits (full regular employees). You will receive an email invitation for new employee benefits orientation that will explain your options.
- If you start work between the 1st and 15th day of the month, your benefits begin on the 1st day of the next month (example: Start date Aug. 13, benefits begin Sep. 1).
- If you start work between the 16th and the end of the month, your benefits begin on the 1st day of the subsequent month (example: Start date Aug. 22, benefits begin Oct. 1).
