The Billington Library is a full-service college library with a friendly help desk and an impressive digital and print collection. Spaces have been delineated for individual quiet study and for collaborative study groups.
Through JCCC Billington Library’s one-search discovery of online, digital and print resources, patrons have access to more than 130,000 books, 50,000 journals, 15,000 videos, 45,000 music recordings and 1.5 million art and architecture images. The library offers nearly 100 computer workstations and wireless access to JCCC students, staff, faculty and community members.
Research assistance is offered by phone, email, chat or in person by MLS-degreed faculty librarians, and patrons can access the library from their mobile devices using the library’s mobile application. Faculty librarians also provide information literacy classes in library and college classrooms.
A national interlibrary loan system allows students and faculty to request materials not locally accessible. Students with disabilities may access both print and online library resources using assistive technology available in the library. Additionally, there are over 400 seats for student study, and 7 study rooms for private use or groups.
