The HITECH program provides training to those with work experience and/or education in the related health care and information technology fields who want to transition into the specialized field of health IT.
If you're seeking a degree in a healthcare or IT/IS field, you can optimize your education in the new credit program.
First, choose from one of two health information systems certificates:
- Health Information Management Redesign Specialist
- Health Information Systems Specialist
Next, apply for program acceptance. We're now taking applications for programs that begin this spring and summer.
Finally, select either the continuing education (non-credit) program or one of two credit programs.
All of the following programs share the same curriculum as approved by the Kansas Board of Regents.
- Continuing Education Program (Face-to-Face and Online Learning)
Next start date: April 30 and May 1 - Credit Hybrid Program (Face-to-Face and Online Learning)
Next start date: June 12 - Credit Fully Online Program (Online Learning Only through Hutchinson Community College)
Next start date: April 17 and August
