Johnson County Community College’s Continuing Education branch offers more than 2,600 courses and programs that enhance career development and personal enrichment. Non-credit courses and contract training increase knowledge and skills while boosting job productivity and career potential. Traditional credits are not earned toward a degree, but you may earn CEUs (continuing education units), certifications and licensure within various professional education programs.

Johnson County is the economic engine of Kansas, and JCCC Continuing Education fuels a smart, engaged and productive workforce by offering metro area businesses customized training in computer software, information technology, supply chain and logistics, sustainability, management and supervisory skills. And individuals count JCCC as their trusted source for occupational and technical preparation, career planning, licensure, certification and recertification courses in early childhood education, mediation, human resource management, payroll and technical trades.

JCCC Continuing Education goes beyond the professional, offering Johnson County residents a wealth of programs that nourish curiosities, hobbies and self-improvement goals. People of all ages develop new skills and uncover hidden talents every day through personal enrichment courses that include basic skills and language courses, arts and crafts, home and money management, photography, food, dance and exercise.
Young people come to JCCC for fun and engaging experiences that help them make new friends and discover new interests. Activities for children and teens include performing and visual arts education, summer enrichment classes, sports camps and clinics, and leadership programs.
Driver Education and Transportation
JCCC Continuing Education offers a variety of courses to meet your transportation training needs. Whether an individual is hitting the road for the first time in need of basic driver or motorcycle training, looking to improve driving techniques with a defensive driving course, or pursuing a dream of flying we have it covered.
Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development
The Kansas Small Business Development Center helps entrepreneurs and small business owners start and grow their businesses through professional consulting, training, and resources. Complementing the work of the KSBDC is the Kansas Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), which offers training, seminars and individualized counseling for businesses looking to secure government contracts.
JCCC’s Public Safety Training Center offers specialized areas of study in leadership, ethics and stress management for law enforcement, fire services and emergency medical technicians.
