Steps to Enroll for Credit Classes
To help you through the credit class enrollment process, we recommend completing the following steps. To avoid having to repeat a step, it is best to complete them in the order provided. All steps are not required every semester, but it helps to plan ahead and be prepared for specific deadlines.
1. Apply for Admission
- Have you attended JCCC in the last two academic years?
- Access your e-mail
- Send current transcripts
- Determine type of admission

3. Apply for Financial Aid
- Complete and review process for federal aid
- Scholarship information
- Payment and protection of enrollment guidelines
- Satisfactory Academic Progress
4. Complete Assessment Testing
- Degree or certificate seeking
- Math or English courses
- Documentation to waive assessment
- Placement based on assessment
- Dropping a course required by assessment
5. Meet with a Counselor
- Understand degree requirements
- Choosing or changing degree or certificate plan
- Selecting and planning class schedule
- Questions about transfer credits

6. Enroll in Classes
- Select your classes
- Enroll online, by phone or in person
- Deadlines to add and drop courses

7. Pay for Classes
