This event is free and open to the community!

The JCCC Science and Math Poster Symposium is an event to showcase student research and projects.

JCCC students will present their research or projects in a conference-style poster session.

  • Research or projects may be from individuals, small groups, or entire classes.
  • Student projects or research may have been completed as any of the following:
    • an assignment within a science or math course at JCCC,
    • an honors project,
    • independent research or study.
  • Student work must have occurred under the supervision or guidance of a current JCCC faculty member between Summer 2018 and Spring 2019.

The goals of the symposium include:

  • Providing students an opportunity to showcase their research or project in a conference setting
  • Building confidence in communicating scientific and mathematical information
  • Providing students with feedback from judges who are experts in their fields
  • Providing an opportunity for Science and Math students and faculty to collaborate
  • Providing an opportunity to stimulate interest in Science and Math related fields
