The Music and Recording Arts program has something for everyone, launching full-time professional musicians as well as novice aficionados. Whether you already know that music is your true calling or if you’d just like to explore music as an avocation, JCCC is your destination to achieve those professional and personal goals.

What is your soundtrack? Tell your unique story and generate an emotional audience response. Create dialogue and sound effects for a final mix. Master the technical skills and aesthetic awareness to set you apart in the field.

There are many opportunities for trained recording arts professionals, such as producing, sound reinforcement, video game creation, film and television sound, and forensic audio. With a recording arts certificate, here are a few opportunities you could pursue. Many classes also transfer to a four-year institution.
