The Business Office Technology (BOT) program at JCCC is for you if you want to acquire entry-level skills to start your administrative professional career or you need to update your skills to advance your career. The BOT certificates and degree offer current and relevant courses needed for a successful career. Courses are offered in a variety of formats, and the BOT certificates and degree can be earned online.

You’ll gain hours of experience using Microsoft Office 365 applications that you’ll find in the business world. You’ll also receive expert instruction and advice from professionals who currently work in business, legal, and medical fields.

Additionally, JCCC’s Business Office Technology certificate and degree offerings are aligned with the International Association of Administrative Professionals’ (IAAP) Body of Knowledge for the Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) exam.

The Business Office Technology career program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP)

JCCC offers four options to start your career:

  1. Build the skills to be successful in any type of office environment with the Administrative Assistant Certificate.
  2. Gain specialized experience to work as part of a medical team in a hospital, health insurance, medical specialty, or doctor’s office with the Medical Office Specialist Certificate.
  3. Bring order to a law office or work in the court system with the Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate.
  4. Continue your studies and earn a degree with the Administrative Assistant AAS.

You can earn one, two, or all three certificates, along with the associate’s degree, to make yourself more marketable as an administrative professional.
