Student Training

Johnson County Community College is committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages and fosters the achievement of academic pursuits and the personal development of our students. To assist in these efforts, the College has made available the following video training that provides vital information on a variety of important topics including:

  1. Sexual Misconduct
  2. Drug and Alcohol Use
  3. Bystander Intervention
  4. Sexual Assault
  5. Consent
  6. Stalking
  7. Domestic Violence
  8. Dating Violence

Following the training, a five (5) question review will be presented.

We encourage you to dedicate this time to learn more about how you can keep yourself and others safe as we navigate the JCCC campus and engage in healthy relationships. 

Steps to Enroll in Training

  1. Follow this link to the Canvas Title IX Sexual Misconduct Prevention Course
  2. Sign in using your JCCC username and password
  3. Select "Enroll in Course" located in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
  4. From there you will be able to go directly to the course by selecting "Go to the Course" located in the upper right-hand corner, or you will be able to access the course from your Canvas dashboard

Employee Training

In accordance with Mandatory Training Policy 422.02, all employees are required to complete an annual non-discrimination and anti-harassment training program. New employees are required to complete this program within 90 calendar days from the date of their hire.


College Training

In accordance with the US Department of Education Title IX Regulations, colleges must make training materials publicly available on websites. The training materials posted here are used to train individuals involved in the review and adjudication of Title IX Sexual Harassment. Posting of these materials does not serve as a waiver of any rights associated with the materials. Johnson County Community College does not give permission for these training materials to be copied, disseminated, or utilized by any third party without the express written permission of owner.
