Success coaches smooth the move to college, support through graduation
New to JCCC? Your success coach will work with you one-on-one as you transition from high school to college. From helping to identify your strengths and challenges as a student to recommending healthy ways to balance responsibilities and set achievable goals, they will empower you to have a rewarding college experience.
Your success coach also can help you understand how to manage life as a college student, such as strategies to:
- Develop healthy habits
- Build momentum and a bias toward action
- Increase resilience despite obstacles
- Learn from failures and celebrate victories
- Discover and use campus resources
- Be successful, through workshops hosted by the Success Coaching department
According to Lead Success Coach Danielle Gallegos, “Students are the experts of their own lives, but we can help them discover their needs during college. Our job is to guide them through a plan of action that will help them work towards goals they’ve set for themselves.”
You can work with your success coach as long as you’re at JCCC. Contact the Success Coaching department if you’re new to the College and would like to partner with a success coach.
