Our center operates a kitchen with staff members who prepare and serve nutritious lunches and snacks for the children.
Based upon availability, produce from our Children's Garden is incorporated into the lunches and snacks we serve. Menus are posted weekly at the center.
Menus are prepared in accordance with guidelines set by the Child and Adult Care Food Program and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
Exceptions are made upon order by a physician or for religious reasons. Lunch and snack times are available in the HCDC parent handbook.
Meals served here must meet nutrition requirements established by USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program.
Families may be eligible for additional support from Johnson County agencies or the state of Kansas.
