To increase the inventory of properly fitted gear for female students in the Fire Science Program.

New Dance Partners, New Dance Lab 2024-2025
Through New Dance Partners, a select group of local professional dance companies are paired with choreographers from across the world to create new works. The 2024-2025 program provides an opportunity for local dance companies to advance and sustain artistic development.

Aligning STEM Trainees for Enterprising Research Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (ASTER LSAMP)
During the grant period, up to 50 talented STEM students will participate in activities designed to provide research opportunities and help with transfer to a 4-year institution to pursue a degree in a STEM field.

Community Oriented Policing Services Technology and Equipment Program
To purchase training vehicles and supplies for the Johnson County Regional Police Academy at Johnson County Community College.

To provide Procurement Technical Assistance (PTA) services to local business owners to grow their businesses via sales to the government.

Kansas Nursing Initiative Grant FY25
To support faculty professional development, purchase a medication dispenser simulator for the Healthcare Resource Center, and cover the registration fees for 72 nursing students to enroll in PassPoint, a test prep software.

U.S. Department of Education
Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad Short-Term
Twelve faculty will participate in a 4-week seminar in Nairobi, Kenya in Summer 2025 to support the development of African studies curricula.

To create publicly accessible digital resources—annotated treaties, oral histories, educational videos, curricula—that will foster an in-depth understanding of the Kaw Nation and their history in Kansas.

Sorting Out Race Exhibit
To support a travelling exhibition and accompanying programming to be hosted by the JCCC Collaboration Center and Kansas Studies Institute from May 23 to July 28, 2024. Created by the Kauffman Museum at Bethel College, the exhibition includes vintage and contemporary objects readily found in thrift stores depicting race and ethnicity.

National Summer Transportation Institute (NSTI)
To host a summer camp for 20 students entering 7th, 8th, or 9th grade. The camp will introduce students to career pathways in transportation industries, including railways, ground transportation, air, and inland waterways.

To enhance the existing Automated Engineer Technology and Welding/Metal Fabrication programs and to launch a new credit Machining & Manufacturing Technology program with new curriculum in Continuing Education.

Procurement Technical Assistance Center 2023 - Extension
To provide Procurement Technical Assistance (PTA) services to local business owners to grow their businesses via sales to the government. This is a two-month extension of the 2023 grant due to the change in the funder and grant period within the Department of Defense from the Defense Logistics Agency (Feb-Jan) to the Office of Naval Research (Apr-Mar).
