Learn, grow and celebrate Latine heritage!

High schoolers, college students and professionals:

Join respected storyteller, public theologian, feminist and advocate Prisca Dorcas Mojica Rodríguez for an enlightening and inspiring presentation: “Self Preservation as a First-Generation Student.”

Mojica Rodríguez will explore topics relevant to all first-generation students, including:

  • The isolation that occurs when you get an education
  • Your parents not understanding your life
  • How to stay connected to your roots

After the presentation, a Latine-owned food truck will offer tasty treats at a discount in the Midwest Trust Center’s circle drive.

This event is free for students (limited quantity); $30 for professionals.
