OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — At their regular monthly meeting Nov. 17, the Johnson County Community College Board of Trustees announced the resignation of former Trustee Joy Koesten and invited interested persons to submit an application to fill the vacancy.

About the JCCC Board of Trustees

seven-member Board of Trustees governs Johnson County Community College by adopting recommended College policies. According to Kansas Statute 71-201, "The board of trustees...shall have custody of and be responsible for the property of the community college and shall be responsible for the management and control of the college." The Board also sets the budget and local tax levy.
