OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Resilience is always in style. Just ask the up-and-coming designers in JCCC’s Fashion Merchandising & Design department. ‘Resilience’ is the theme for the 2021 fashion show, which reflects the extent students have gone to learn and thrive during an unpredictable year.

This year’s event will be virtual. JCCC’s Fashion Design students will showcase their original, fashion-forward designs with the Nerman Museum as their backdrop. Expect to see innovative designs from talented students and several looks that promote sustainability in fashion by utilizing recycled materials.

The show will be broadcast at noon Friday, April 23, 2021, and will be available for viewing until May 7.

Tickets to this virtual show can be purchased at the Midwest Trust Center Box Office, online or by calling 913-469-4445. Price per household is $15 and per school is $50. All proceeds from this event benefit student scholarships, and additional donations to support Fashion Merchandising & Design scholarships are welcome.
