OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – (March 17, 2020) – Johnson County Community College and its Board of Trustees consider the health and safety of members of the JCCC community to be of paramount importance. In order to help minimize spread of the coronavirus, the College is taking several cautionary steps at this Thursday’s Board of Trustees meeting.

The open Board meeting will be convened at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Only Board Chair, Greg Musil, and JCCC President, Dr. Joe Sopcich, will be admitted into the hearing room. This is out of extreme caution to ensure the safety of everyone and following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control. Members of the community were encouraged to join the live stream during the meeting.

There will be no public comment segment at the meeting and members of the public will not be admitted into the board room. The March board packet, including the agenda, can be found on the JCCC website.

Thank you for your understanding during these critical times as the College continues to adapt while ensuring the safety of all involved.
