CLEAR students who attend expansion classes learn life skills necessary for independent living while building strong friendships along the way.

Each class meets for one hour per week for 10 weeks each semester. Students attending weekday classes are learning independent living skills and are responsible for getting to their classrooms on their own. While on campus, students are encouraged to participate in other JCCC activities before or after class.

All students must meet attendance criteria. Students new to the program must call the CLEAR office to set up an appointment for an enrollment interview. For an application and an interview, call the CLEAR office at 913-469-3247.

High school transition specialists will assist students in registering for CLEAR expansion classes and may also provide information about academic achievement classes, lifetime fitness programs and other campus activities. CLEAR expansion class enrollment is processed through the CLEAR office. Registration for all other credit or non-credit classes is done through the regular JCCC enrollment process.
