The Arts
Animal Art– Explore how to make your favorite animals using a variety of art forms such as drawing, painting and collage. Learn the basics of texture and storytelling through art. Instructor: Gina M.
Arts and Crafts– Create different imaginative art projects with a variety of materials. Instructor: Gina M.
Cardmaking– Make your own greeting cards in fun creative ways. We’ll use a variety of techniques to make the cards and they will be fun to send and receive in the mail. Instructor: Raziya M.
Enrichment
History of Rock and Roll– Trace the history of rock music from the 1950’s to the present. Vote on your all-time top 40 favorites. Instructor: John T.
Insect Investigators– You probably never notice the world beneath your feet. From caterpillars to butterflies, ants, lady bugs and even mosquitoes, learn about our friends with six legs and the impact they have on us. Instructor: TBD.
Maps of the World– Using Google Earth, videos and online applications, observe the world around us including land and sea. Instructor: John T.
Mythbusters– Put questions, myths and life hacks to the test! Use experiments to uncover the truth of these urban legends. *Expansion for Saturday. Instructor: John T.
Pixar Pals– Explore popular Pixar films like Toy Story, Cars and Inside Out. Discover the behind-the-scenes science and art that it takes to make these beloved movies. Instructor: Stacy F.
Science Lovers– Learn the ways that science has changed our lives. Bring your science questions to class and we will research them. Instructor: Carol G.
Spying on Nature–– Learn about the wonder of nature by viewing wildlife cameras on the Internet. Everything from hummingbirds’ nests to eagles hatching or even fish underwater can be seen in live action as it happens. Instructor: Julie C.
The Big 12– Are you a college sports fan? Come share your enthusiasm for the teams of the Big 12! Instructor: Julie C.
Exercise and Recreation
Dance Fever– Learn the popular moves that created dance crazes across the decades! Line dances, the running man, moonwalking and more! Instructor: Sally P.
Walking for Health– You can get healthy exercise just by walking; no special clothes, shoes, or a gym membership is needed. A brisk 20-minute walk around the halls of your school, around the block at work, or at the mall is a great way to get started. Instructor: Sally P.
Game-Based Learning
Brainteasers and Puzzles– Flex your brain muscles with these daily puzzles, riddles, and brainteasers. Work independently and with peers to solve the work of the day. Instructor: Stacy F.
CLEAR Carnival– Step right up and learn real-world skills through the fun of carnival-style games! In this interactive class, students build skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, decision-making while playing and creating classic fair games. Instructor: Raziya M.
Practical Living
CLEAR Newsletter– Write and publish the CLEAR newsletter. Interview students and instructors; report on the latest happenings in your neighborhood and the world. Expansion for Saturday.* Instructor: TBD.
Cooking for Life– Learn essential cooking skills that promote independence, healthy eating, and confidence. Through hands-on practice, students will build a strong foundation to enjoy cooking for a lifetime. Instructor: Gina M.

Showcase Performance
Behind the Scenes– Be a part of the crew making props and scenery for the drama production. Express yourself in individual artwork using a variety of materials. Instructor: Debbie B.
