Instructors have provided the following information to generally describe what to expect in their classes.

Class Format
Instructor-prepared class notes are used to present the material from the textbook. These notes contain definitions, formulas, rules for algebraic operations, and many examples of problems similar to those in the homework assignment. Assessment
There are usually four tests given each semester, each worth 100 points, as is the final exam. Another 100 points are possible for class participation. Class participation involves being present and on time in class, turning in the assignments when due, and participating in the class activities.
Homework Policy
Assignments from the book are made at the end each section covered. A review sheet of additional problems is given for students to determine their level of understanding. These assignments are due the following class period, with class participation credit given for completing the assignment. A written review for each test will be given the class period preceding the test.
Attendance Policy
Attendance counts for 40% of the class participation points.
Availability
I am available before or after class, or by appointment. Since I do not have office hours, I encourage students to call me at home with questions.
