Instructors have provided the following information to generally describe what to expect in their classes.

Math

Class Format

I am a liaison to Johnson County area school districts with whom JCCC has partnered with to offer opportunities for high school students to earn college credit while still in high school. The program is called Quick Step Plus College Algebra, and my primary role is to recruit students to participate in the program and, once they have enrolled, to administer exams and assess students’ mastery of content.

Resource Use

Textbooks are provided by the high school at which the student is enrolled.  Calculators are used to supplement the learning with TI-84 models being recommended.

Assessment

A student’s grade will be determined by scores on 5 unit exams and a comprehensive final exam.  Total of 625 Points.

Homework Policy

No homework is used in determining the students’ JCCC grade.

Attendance Policy

An attendance policy does not apply to this course.

Availability

My schedule varies, so while I am often available, appointments are recommended as I occasionally need to be away from campus due to other college obligations.
