History is crucial to helping us understand how the society we live in came to be through a critical examination of a wide array of source materials. Historical study reveals how and why things change in human communities and what persists despite change. History is also full of inspiring stories of people overcoming challenges and building community with others.
JCCC has a robust offering of history courses, including local and regional studies; ancient and medieval history; Asian, African, European, and U.S. history. We also offer courses in religious, environmental, women’s history, and much more.
