Updated Federal Requirements
JCCC will continue with JCAE programs to serve qualified individuals. In response to current Federal requirements, starting July 28, 2025, students will be required to present the most recent documentation of their current US citizenship or immigration status as part of the course registration process. Students interested in attending JCAE classes should bring their Real ID, birth certificate, U.S. passport, or immigration documents when they register. Visit the US Citizenship and Immigration Services website for a list of commonly used immigration documents.
1. Register for ELL Classes
Classes fill quickly. No student is guaranteed a place in class.
When classes are full, registration closes.
Online Registration
Opens Monday, January 5, 2026 at 9 a.m.
If you are unable to register online, in-person registration is available. Please do not attend in-person registration if you have registered online.
In-person Registration
Tuesday, January 6, 2026
Register in person at the West Park Center: 9780 West 87th Street, Overland Park, Kansas.
9 a.m. until classes are filled
Remember:
- You may only sign up once.
- You may only register yourself. You cannot sign up friends or relatives.
- Registration can be done online or in person. Registration cannot be completed by phone.
- You will be given an appointment card listing the days and times of your testing.
- Bring your appointment card with you.
- Do not bring children or other family members.
- Registration closes when classes are full.

3. Attend Testing, Orientation, and Placement
Attend a 2-day testing session at West Park Adult Education Center: 9780 West 87t Street, Overland Park, Kansas.
At verification you will be assigned a testing and orientation session.
You MUST attend the two days you are assigned to.
Remember:
- Arrive on time.
- You must attend BOTH DAYS of testing.
- Do not bring children or other family members.
- You will pay your book and material fee on the second day of orientation and testing.
