Wow your employers from your very first day on the job! Learn relevant professional skills and gain confidence to launch your career. If you’ve wished for “adulting” classes that prepare you for what’s ahead, EPP is a wish come true.

About the program

  • Six sessions total, Wednesdays from 3 to 4:15 p.m.
  • First session: March 21, 2018
  • Open to any JCCC student enrolled in credit classes
  • Participation in all six sessions is required. Upon completion, students will receive a certificate and a portfolio suitable for interviews

Session topics

  • March 21 - Finding Your Fit: Discover how your interests, values and personality traits can guide you through career decision-making.
  • March 28 - Résumé and Interviewing: Create an impressive résumé and improve your interviewing skills.
  • April 4 - Professional Communication: Build skills for effective communication in the workplace.
  • April 11 - Networking: Learn how to effectively create and manage professional relationships.
  • April 18 - Work-Life Balance: Handle the demands of life by learning techniques in stress management, time management and prioritization.
  • April 25 - Adulting: “Adult” as a verb means making a go of it on your own. Learn life skills such as personal finance, health and wellness and more.
