Wow your employers from your very first day on the job! Learn relevant professional skills and gain confidence to launch your career.

About the program

  • Five sessions total, Wednesdays from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
  • First session: Oct. 17, 2018
  • Open to any JCCC student enrolled in credit classes
  • Participation in all five sessions is required. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate and a portfolio suitable for interviews

Session topics

  • Oct. 17, 2018: Finding your Fit — Know how your interests and values can guide you in deciding on a career and navigating your professional life.
  • Oct. 24, 2018: Work-Life Balance  Improve your quality of life by learning techniques in stress management, time management and prioritization.
  • Oct. 31, 2018: Resume and Interviewing — Get tips and tricks for resume writing and interviewing to boost your chances of landing a job.
  • Nov. 7, 2018: Professional Communication — Discover how to communicate properly in professional and academic settings.
  • Nov. 14, 2018: Networking and Social Media — Learn how to effectively create and manage professional relationships and practice your networking skills with JCCC professionals.
