Lost and found items on campus are held at the JCCC Police Department on the first floor of the Midwest Trust Center.

Lost and Found items should be turned in without delay to the JCCC Police Department

If personal property is lost on the JCCC campus, contact the JCCC Police Department (JCCC PD) at 913-469-8500, ext. 5678, as soon as possible to report the lost item(s) or inquire about item(s) you may have lost.

Found items should be turned in to the JCCC Police Department, MTC 115. Checking the updated daily inventory report on the Lost and Found Report (PDF) website is another way to verify if the property was turned in to JCCC PD.

Individuals shall be responsible for the safekeeping of their personal property while on campus. JCCC PD should be contacted as soon as possible when personal property is discovered lost or found.

JCCC PD is authorized to inventory ALL properties, personal or otherwise, when the property is recovered or abandoned. JCCC PD will not accept organic matters, containers with a liquid substance, or computer storage devices, e.g., flash/thumb drives, etc.

How to claim your property

Contact the JCCC Police Department at 913-469-8500, ext. 5678, or appear in person (Midwest Trust Center – MTC 115) to recover the property. JCCC PD will only release the property to the owner. To claim the property the owner must present a valid form of identification, e.g., JCCC college identification, a valid driver’s license, passport, etc. Property may be picked up 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the exception of designated school holidays/closings.

When possible and to expedite the process, print the Lost and Found Report (PDF) and the barcode. Present the printed log or use your mobile device to display the lost and found report and barcode at the JCCC PD lobby window to obtain your property.
