Expanded SNAP Benefits

Students who have completed the FAFSA and have a $0 Expected Family Contribution (EFC) OR qualify for the Federal Work-Study Program may now be eligible for federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

Email the Student Basic Needs Center at basicneeds@jccc.edu or visit us in COM 319 for assistance with these benefits.

The mission of the Student Basic Needs Center is to provide information and resources to combat the hardships which adversely affect the ability of JCCC students to complete their academic, professional, and personal development objectives.

We are here to empower you, so you can focus on being healthy, successful and less stressed. The center is a safe, friendly place to meet your basic needs. Your mental and physical well-being is paramount.

If you are experiencing food or housing insecurity, or other hardships, stop by COM 319 and visit with our helpful staff. If you know someone who needs a helping hand, tell them about our services or come with them for support.

Get the Help You Need

The JCCC Student Assistance Fund has been established to help students facing a sudden and unforeseen emergency that has affected their ability to attend class or otherwise meet the academic obligations of a JCCC student.

 

A resource for supplemental food, school supplies and hygiene products for currently enrolled JCCC students and their families.

  • Bring your JCCC ID or an alternate form of photo identification
  • Get up to 15 items (maximum of 5 protein sources and 8 personal care items) twice a week
  • Fill your backpack with school supplies

JCCC loans laptops and WiFi hotspots at no charge to students currently enrolled in credit courses.

  • The supply of equipment is limited and provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Please note that the objective of this program is to support students who have no other way or means to obtain technology to complete their studies.
