OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – For years Johnson County Community College (JCCC) students have moved on to further their education at the University of Saint Mary (USM). In fact, Cavaliers make up as much as 10 percent of the transfer class at USM in a given year.

JCCC students have a unique opportunity to utilize up to 90 credit hours at USM, depending on their program. To build on this established relationship, we’re excited to announce a memorandum of understanding is now in place to further assist the transfer experience for students.

An official signing event is going to be held at JCCC to recognize this agreement at 3 p.m. Aug. 26, 2019, in the Hugh W. Speer Board Room on the main JCCC campus.

“This agreement is generous to our students' credit hours and Saint Mary's plan to work on improving transfer for our AAS career program completers. Overall, they are a good partner offering a locally known baccalaureate education to our students.” Rick Moehring, Dean of Learner Engagement and Success, states.

JCCC looks forward to celebrating this exceptional opportunity for JCCC students!

For more information about this partnership see the University of St. Mary transfer guides.
