OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College will celebrate the opening of its newest building at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, with a ribbon-cutting, dedication and open house ending at 3:30 p.m. The Hugh L. Libby Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) brings together current automotive, engineering and electrical technology programs. Students seeking careers in these high-demand areas will be workforce ready, thanks to curriculum designed to meet industry needs.

While on campus, enjoy a reception and tour of this state-of-the-art building that features:

  • 69,000 square feet of classroom and learning areas including 14 labs
  • top-notch machinery for hands-on learning
  • open, modular-designed spaces with exposed pipes and electrical systems to reinforce infrastructure knowledge
