JCCC is the only college or university with undefeated men’s and women’s teams this season.

The men’s and women’s basketball teams at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) have made history by finishing the regular season undefeated. Together, the programs boast a remarkable 59-0 combined record.

"We strive to keep improving every day to get better. We hope we hit our highest level here in a couple of weeks.” ~ Rand Chappell, JCCC men’s head basketball coach

JCCC is the only college or university in the country at any level—NJCAA, NAIA, or NCAA—to have both its men’s and women’s teams finish with perfect records this season.

Women’s season

The women finished with an incredible 30–0, holding on to their No. 1 ranking from 2025. This was their third consecutive perfect regular season and fifth overall.

Head coach Ben Conrad credits the team’s consistency throughout the long season. “There’s always ups and downs, hills and valleys, but we haven’t really had a lot of valleys. It’s been a really consistent group,” Conrad says.

As the NJCAA Division II's top-ranked team heads into the postseason, their victory marks the Cavaliers' 22nd consecutive double-digit win and 92-game winning streak.

Men’s season

The No. 3-ranked men's basketball team secured their first undefeated regular season in program history, closing the season at 29-0. With the win, the Cavaliers join Pima Community College (30-0) as the only NJCAA school to finish the regular season undefeated.

Next up—postseason play

As both teams head to postseason play, men’s guard Aidan Wing said the team’s focus is on finishing what it started in its record-breaking season. “Our mindset is to finish what we started; finish what we came here to do. We want to take it as far as we can and keep having fun,” Wing said.
