Student Senate is your voice for all aspects of your education at JCCC.

Made up of five executive officers and 25 senators at-large, Student Senate provides government representation for the student body and allocates funds to student organizations. In addition, Student Senate works with the Center for Student Involvement to provide support and guidance to JCCC’s student organizations.

So let Student Senate support you. Share your comments, concerns, and issues with us. We are here to serve you! Student Senate meets each Monday from 2 to 3 p.m. in RC 270 during the fall and spring semesters.

JCCC Gives

JCCC Gives logo

Join JCCC Student Senate as we help make the season bright for JCCC students, faculty, and staff in need.

Nominate someone you know who is in need of holiday help. Student Senate will coordinate assistance through the Giving Tree, which collects gifts and monetary donations for the JCCC community to make the holidays happier for those who need it most.

  • Submit nominations. Submissions will be accepted through Sunday, Nov. 17.

  • The Giving Tree will be put up in the first floor of the Student Center on Monday, Nov. 4.
    • The tree is decorated with tags that describe gift requests from members of the JCCC community who are in need this season. Choose one you'd like to fulfill and take the tag with you. Tags will be available until Monday, Dec. 2.
    • Purchase the gift requested, then bring it to theHoliday Giving Tea or to COM 309 on or before Tuesday, Dec. 3.
  • Give money. Monetary donations will go towards purchasing gifts for any person or tag that is not adopted from the Giving Tree. Purchases may include clothing, gift cards for food or personal items, toys, etc.
